Cocoon

Recently a friend of mine was facing certain testing times, and what best than to share a little poetry to provide peace and solace. So, here are a few verses I wrote for her. Hope you enjoy reading them.
.
When times are testing, the winds too fierce,
Few remain, steadfast with you, to pierce
that cocoon you find and slide into after a fall
in nature’s order, all so harsh, all so tall.

Like a winter’s dream, on sunshine and spring
and the promised lands and nymphs that sing,
wishes, fleeting, remain not that’re meant not to be;
march on, my dear, for there’re better things to see.
